A Blue Moon is a full moon that is not timed to the regular monthly pattern. Most years have 12 full lunar cycles, and each year contains an excess of roughly eleven days. These extra days accumulate every two to three years and there is an extra ‘Blue Moon’. Thankfully for us, Blue Moon Brewing Company produces enough beer to supply us with delicious handcrafted brew all year round.
